June 2017 – Longest Day

As is our long tradition, on Friday, June 23rd, 2017, a group of us met at Bayview Junction at the crack of dawn to take advantage of the longest day of the year to capture as many  great photos at prime railway trainspotting venues in southern Ontario as possible until the sun sets.  Here are images of the event. It was a very wet rainy day so getting great shots was a challenge.  But a good time was had by all!

The first shot is a creative depiction of our traditional annual group photo with a number of trains photoshopped into a “wishful thinking” image.  Large laminated prints of this image were given to all who attended as a reminder of this great day.
