About CRHA Niagara

CHRA Niagara is one of 11 Divisions of the Canadian Railway Historical Association.  Our focus is on the railway history of the Niagara Region in the Province of Ontario, Canada.

We meet monthly on the last Wednesday of every month from September to April at the St. Catharines Museum at Lock 3 on the Welland Canal Parkway from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (except in December).  The Lock 3 Museum is a short distance north of the QEW’s Garden City Skyway Bridge over the Welland Canal and is located at 1932 Welland Canals Parkway in St. Catharines.

After a brief business meeting, the remainder of our monthly meeting is devoted to members presenting railway history and images from their excursions to capture railway history as it happens.

In addition to our frequent railway excursions, we also hold three social events for members and their partners, a Christmas party in December, a dinner and slide show in May  and a picnic in the warm summer months.

But a core passion of the club are the special group excursions both in our local area and across North America to capture railway history in the making and to explore historical railway sites.
